Acting President of NUG, Duwa Lashila, said that they will be able to prosecute and punish the military council leaders and their associates with international legal organizations.
On July 24th, Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG) Duwa Lashila said this in his message to the people. “ We are working together with internal and international people and we are cooperating with foreign groups, in the near future we will be able to prosecute and punish terrorist leaders and their associates with international legal organizations,” he said.
Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than said at the 24th cabinet meeting that it is important to give the same message about the true situation of the country in the foreign sector in order to overcome the brutality of the military council. At the UN Security Council, U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s ambassador to the UN, requested that the military be transferred to the International Criminal Court to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable before more lives are lost.
