Chin State According to a press release of the Chin National Front (CNF) on August 13th, a battle took place between the army and the CNF/CNA Pupong Army in Falang for two and a half hours, and both sides were injured and killed.
On August 12th, from 1:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the military’s 268th battalion headquarters based in Falang was attacked by CDF-KKG and CDF-Hualngoram, including the Chin National Army (CNA). During the attack, one CDF-KKG soldier was killed, and on the military side six were killed, nine were injured, and 11weapons, including a heavy weapon, and a large number of bullets were seized.
At around 10:00 a.m. after the battle, the army bombed the villages inhabited by civilians about 20 miles away from Falang, and 7 civilians from Ramhtilo village and 7 civilians from Sontala village were hit and injured. In addition, CNF informed that at least two Christian churches and houses were destroyed by the army’s bombardment.
