The KIO News and Information Department announced yesterday that a fire broke out at the Jeyang military evacuation camp in the area of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) headquarters.

A fire broke out at the Jeyang military evacuation camp, which is only a few miles away from the KIO headquarters in Laiza, on March 19 at 3:35pm. in the afternoon.
It is reported that 178 people from 37 households were affected by the fire. Jeyang Military Evacuation Camp was established after fighting escalated between the KIA and the Military Council in 2011.
