Yangon Region, Kamayut Township Ward 4, near Bayintnaung tower 1and 2, Residents of the neigh borhood reported that the military council came in plainclothes on the morning of March 31st to remove the sign board of the NLD party office in Kun Chan kone (5) Street.
It is also reported that the relevant ward administrators did not participate when the sign was taken down. It is said that the office has been closed since early 2021, when the military took power, and is located on Kun Chan kone (5) Street.
According to the new political parties’ registration law enacted by the Military Council, all parties must re-register by March 28th, and 40 parties that did not register were also canceled by the Military Council on March 28th. In addition, it is stated that if the party’s not legally recognized its property will be confiscated as state property.
