Chin Defense Force (CDF-Mindat) issued a statement for its 2nd Anniversary of its establishment on April 24th, 2023. In this statement, the peaceful protest against military rule was violently broken up by the military council in 2021.
It has been two years since April 24th that all the people in Mindat Township resisted the revolution with whatever weapons they had. A total of 218) skirmishes took place with the Military Council Army, and CDF-Mindat recorded that 55 soldiers were killed.
It has been reported that a total of more than 450 casualties were reported on the side of the military council during the fighting between the two sides. Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than of the National Unity Government also sent a greeting message.
