The military council released 22 members of the ethnic armed forces.

The military council announced today (August 1st) that 22 members of ethnic armed forces have been released from punishment. Among the 22 revolutionary soldiers released by the military council, 16 were Taang National Liberation Army-TNLA soldiers, and two were MNDAA-Kokang soldiers. Three members of the Shan State Progressive Party- SSPP, and one Rakhine Army AA member is included. To commemorate the full moon day of the holy month, according to Section 401 of the Criminal Procedure Law, the military council announced that if he commits the crime again, he will continue to serve the remaining punishment.

The military council is fighting fiercely with members of the Northern Alliance, TNLA, MNDAA, and AA. The three Northern Alliances group and the Military Council delegation met with China’s intervention in Mongla on June 1st and 2nd. They asked for the release of the Northern Alliance members captured by the military council. They discussed canceling their organizations as illegal associations and giving help to the people affected by the storm in Rakhine as soon as possible. The military council side tried to discuss the political issue in that discussion. Still, the Northern Alliance side did not-discuss the part of the political issue that the military council wanted to discuss. AA spokesperson Khaing Thukha told the media that the meeting was planned for three days but was canceled on the 2nd day.
