It is reported that the PDF and the Ethnic Armed Resistance Organization are working on military plans through division of responsibilities and cooperation. Now, among the 3 major military regions, the Northern Military Region (1) and the Southern Military Region (2) are already in charge of the respective military commanders.
As for military region (1), a military leader from the KIO/KIA, which is an important alliance organization of the National Unity Government, has assumed the role of commander of the military region, U Yee Mon said.
The Southern Military Region includes the Karen National Union (KNU) territories and related areas. U Yee Mon said that the commanders of the two military regions in the southern and northern regions have been in charge and have been able to carry out the necessary command and military operations.
The Minister confirmed that in these two important military regions, they are now in a position to practically lead and command the battlefield together with the commanders of the military regions.
