Heavy weapons hit inside Kawkareik town fired by the military council troops, a house was damaged.

Karen State Residents reported that a residential house was hit and damaged due to the military council firing heavy weapons in Kok Krait town.

Today, June 9th, at around 9:30 am, Ward No. 2, after three rounds of ammunition fell into the city of Kokkraet’s Khayin Lane road, a residential house near the hospital was hit and damaged, but no one was injured.

There have been frequent armed clashes between the two sides this year in and around the city of Kawkareik, and local civilians have been shot and killed as a result of the clashes. Damage of resident’s houses are occurring.
