An attack on the convoy of humanitarian assistance program of the diplomatic mission in the Southern Shan State, Sisai Township was condemned by Singapore and Indonesia. The ASEAN diplomatic humanitarian mission, on the trip to Sisai township, where Pao National Liberation Organization office was located was attack on the way on May 7th 2023, but which organization did this attack was not known yet.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore stated that two embassy staff from the Singapore Embassy in Yangon were on the trip.
Although the staff returned to Yangon without any injuries, the statement said that they condemned the attack. ASEAN’s rotating chairman, Indonesia’s President, condemned the attack and invited all stakeholders to hold a round-table meeting to discuss the Myanmar issue. The military council confirmed the attack on near Nan Aw Village, Sisai Township and has already been investigated, and the local security forces have announced that they are doing the necessary area enforcement work.
