The military council troops attacked the villages of the Internal displace persons in Mindat township of Chin State with heavy weapons according to the locals. Yesterday May 9th, it was reported that the 274th Army regiment based in Mindat town fired heavy weapons at two villages. Locals said that they opened fire with heavy weapons without a reason.
There is no battle in the villages. According to Mindat Post, the explosion was caused by heavy artillery shelling from the military council troops which hit some villages in Mindat township, district No.4, at least three houses were burnt down and some people were injured.
The military council troop also shelling on the north side of Min Dat on May 7th. According to Mindat CDF May 4th press released, the randomly shelling heavy weapon by the military council troops may caused injuries to the locals for that reason in the area of Mindat township district (4) along Chi stream people have to avoid fishing and hunting in this area.
