Chin State’s Thantlang town was destroyed by the military council forces for no reason, and now the beautiful Thantlang town has become a ruined city. The Chin National Army (CNA) and the Chin Defense Forces (CDF) raided the CB Bank building where the military council and police were stationed in Chin State and captured 6 members of the military council and police together with their weapons on January 31. The captured military council members and police men have confessed that the military council army deliberately set fire to the town of Thantlang in Chin State.
Captain Saw Ye Moe Aung and Captain Hein Myat Soe Thu of the Military Council testified that the arson was carried out. They also testified that they witnessed the act of the group burning Thantlang town. They did not just burn it down, but the military council troops also took things from the homes of the residents.
Since the end of 2021, the terrorist military council has repeatedly set fire to Thantlang town, and it is reported that more than 1,200 residential houses and buildings, including churches and religious buildings, have already been destroyed by fire.
