Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces has arrived in Thandwe City to attend a meeting of high-ranking Myanmar-Thailand military officials, announced the Ministry of Information.
A high-level delegation of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, led by General Chalermphon Srisawasdi, the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, arrived this morning by special flight to attend the 8th High Level Committee Meeting between Myanmar-Thailand armed forces, hosted by Myanmar.
The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and party were warmly welcomed at the airport by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Western Command, the military attaché of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to Myanmar and officials.
While in Myanmar, the advanced delegation led by the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces will attend the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting, hold the meeting to enhance friendly relations and cooperation between the two armed forces, pay homage to eminent pagodas and visit significant places, it said.
