Magwe Region, Seikphyu Township, On June 20th, a large army vehicle carrying about 30 enemy forces entered Saw Road from Seikphyu town between Tha Pyay Village and Yae Kyaw Village were attacked by four mines around 8:00 a.m., and three members of the Military Council were killed on the spot and about 20 were seriously injured.
Also, at 9 am, another military vehicle that entered Tha Pyay village and Yae Kyaw village was attacked with landmines again. Two enemy soldiers were killed on the spot, and five were injured.
The next day, on June 21, at around 11:30 AM, a military vehicle that came to carry the dead bodies were attacked by Pakukku District No. 4 Battalion – Division 1 (Caf – Spupdf) and Seikphyu Township People’s Defense Group – Seikphyu People’s Defense Team (Middle Zone PDT Group) again with landmines.
The car was damaged, 15 military council members were killed, and five people were seriously injured. During the 2-day mine-laying attack, one military vehicle of the military council was damaged, a total of 20 people were killed, and at least 30 were injured, but the public defense forces were not harmed.
The attacks were carried out jointly by the People’s Defense Army (PDF) Pakokku District No. 4 Battalion – Company 1 (Caf – Spupdf) and Pei Phyu Township People’s Defense Group – Pei Phyu PKAF (Milan Zone PKAF).
