Over 40 homes and barns in Indaw area were burned down by the military council

On December 21st,2022 in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, it is reported that 41 houses and 30 barns in Setawkone village were burned down by the terrorist army on December 20th, 2022. The local defense force Indaw Revolution has announced the loss of properties related to the fire incident.

It has been announced that more than 100 houses in 6 villages in Indaw township were burned down by the military council troops on December 16th to 20th. “ People should take care of each other and help each other,” Indaw Revolution group urged. Currently, the military council troops are stationed in the village of Nat Ma Hote Kyi, and also a troop of 100 soldiers coming down from Nant See Aung are staying in a forest between Pha Pan and Pin Wel.


On December 18th, the Indaw Revolution group informed to the public and issued a warning that four local people were killed by the SAC near Paing Inn village and were buried in the village monastery. The local People’s Defense Forces and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) joint forces attacked the column of the military council that had set fire to Indaw Township, and clashes broke out.

There was a three-day battle from December 16th to 18th, and on December 17th the Indaw People’s Defense Force announced that the terrorist military council forces suffered many casualties in the battle near Jone Jone Kya village.
